The Ministry of Defence is seeking a motivated Armourer to join the Tactical Supply Wing in Stafford, supporting aviation refuelling operations and defence missions worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to work within the Civil Service supporting the British Army, ensuring that small arms and associated equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and ready for operational use.

Collaboratively oversee and share the responsibility for the 24/7 on-call armourer tasks in conjunction with the Armoury Supervisor.
The upkeep, examination, repair, and alteration of all small arms and related equipment owned by the unit, following current publications and regulations.
Distribution and acknowledgement of all firearms and accessories maintained in compliance with existing regulations.
Making certain that every assigned task is executed with appropriate attention to safety and quality.
Ensuring workspaces are kept safe, organised, and clean.
The rules for utilising COSHH and PPE must always be followed.
All facets of weapon security must always be followed.
Notify the supervisor of any faulty equipment and any service tasks needing attention.
Stay informed about all required Civil Servant credentials.
Utilisation of a computer system to perform necessary functions.
Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Armourer or 2IC HQ Sqn.
