As an Entry-Level Electrician, your key responsibilities include:
Participating in team projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards in all electrical work.
Gaining practical electrical training, which takes more than 33 weeks, in wiring and power generation.
Completing military engineering training, including demolition and bridge building.
Preparing for civilian qualifications, such as the Level 3 and 4 Diplomas in Electrotechnical Studies and Practice (Military Engineering).
Installing low-voltage underground cables, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and power generation equipment.
Working with single- and three-phase electrical installations.
Overcoming challenges such as setting up field-based electricity, providing emergency power during blackouts, etc.
Understanding electrical engineering principles, how to apply them, etc.
Standard working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday—unless you’re away on operations or training exercises.
You’ll receive 30 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, with additional leave available after operational deployments.

To qualify for this role, you must:
You’ll need to be able to pass a basic fitness test
Applicants should hold at least a GCSE (Grade A–C / 9–5) or Scottish National 5 in Maths, English Language, and one other subject.
You must be aged between 16 years 6 months and 35 years 6 months.
