Ally Health is currently hiring Freelance Phlebotomists for multiple positions across the UK, offering a flexible opportunity to work with a growing and innovative healthcare provider. In this role, you will join an established phlebotomy team, deliver high-quality care to clients in community settings, and work closely with the Clinical Operations Manager to report on activities while supporting home healthcare testing services nationwide.

Experience: At least 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience
DBS Check: Enhanced DBS disclosure, including declaration of convictions
Insurance: Valid personal professional indemnity insurance (proof required)
References: Two professional referees, with at least one from your most recent role
Driving Requirement: Full UK driving licence with access to a personal vehicle
Language: Fluent English
To carry out blood tests requested and booked domiciliary visits, as a lone practitioner with telephone and mobile app support, and to seek advice and support from a more senior/experienced colleague/Ally Health Clinical team for matters outside the sphere of responsibility, knowledge, or skills.
To ensure that domiciliary blood samples are posted or brought to the hub in time for the courier collection, and to document into the patient’s medical record of blood tests taken. Report to the Ally Health Clinical team and seek advice on specific risks that are identified, e.g. unsafe environmental conditions, and to carry out your duties in accordance with company protocols and guidelines.
The successful candidate will adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times and be comfortable using digital mobile tools to coordinate job assignments and accurately record patient notes. They will take reasonable steps to promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment while respecting the confidentiality and privacy of patients and carers at all times.
The person will serve as a key part of the phlebotomy team, participate in necessary meetings, and show a practical knowledge and comprehension of pertinent laws and policies, such as Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and confidentiality.
