This is an instigative occasion to join Health Data Research UK’s Legal, Trust & Ethics team in a fast-paced and largely cooperative part concentrated on strengthening data governance across the UK and beyond. You will play a key part in coordinating stakeholder engagement, supporting complex research infrastructure projects, and helping to foster trust and transparency in the use of health data.

Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders across Health Data Research UK, becoming a trusted and reliable point of contact.
Planning and delivering engaging workshops, meetings, and events that bring together multiple organisations—this includes attending at least two in-person meetings in London each year.
Coordinating funding calls and keeping projects on track by managing timelines and key milestones.
Sharing updates on team workstreams through clear PowerPoint presentations and producing a quarterly newsletter for stakeholders.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners to spot opportunities to showcase our successes and raise the profile of our work.
Collaborating with our Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) team to meaningfully involve members of the public—including the Health Data Research UK Public Advisory Board—in conversations around health data use and governance.
Supporting partners in adopting best practices in data governance, helping them navigate and overcome challenges that could delay or prevent research.
Promoting Health Data Research UK’s innovative work in health data governance by contributing to blogs, bulletins, articles, and other publications, as well as keeping webpages up to date.
Remaining flexible and responsive, stepping in to support colleagues when needed and adapting to evolving priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Experience gathering, clarifying, and documenting project requirements from a range of stakeholders, ensuring different perspectives are reflected and aligned.
A solid understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how it applies in practice.
Hands-on experience in project management, with the ability to apply structured processes, anticipate challenges, and manage risks proactively.
Experience working within the health data sector, with insight into its landscape, opportunities, and challenges.
Experience contributing to research activities and/or communicating effectively with patients and members of the public.
The person we are looking for will have experience running meetings and giving presentations that people want to listen to. They will know how to plan and manage events from beginning to end. This includes working with people outside our company and ensuring everything goes smoothly on the day of the event. The successful candidate will be good at talking to people and paying attention to details. They will also be able to work continuously.
