We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene throughout the Royal Air Force Private Members’ Club, making sure members and their guests always feel comfortable and well looked after. Keep corridors, service areas, and housekeeping carts neat, organised, and clean.
Treat guests’ and members’ belongings with genuine care and professionalism.
Respond to guest requests and questions quickly, politely, and with a helpful attitude.
Report any maintenance concerns or lost-and-found items to your supervisor without delay.
Prepare rooms to a high standard by making beds, refreshing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting surfaces, vacuuming floors, and restocking amenities.
Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect, fostering a positive and supportive workplace.
Communicate with members, guests, and colleagues in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.

We’re looking for someone with previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally in hospitality, hotels, or other upscale environments. You should have a strong eye for detail and take real pride in maintaining high standards. Being dependable, punctual, and able to work independently is important, along with maintaining a professional and discreet approach at all times.
Good communication skills and a solid command of English are essential. You should be comfortable taking and following instructions, and physically able to lift and carry items up to 20 kg, as well as reach overhead and bend when needed. Flexibility is also important, as you may be asked to carry out other reasonable duties by managers or supervisors.
